Dumbing Down the Jobs to Suit the Filipino Unskilled Work Force or Stepping Up the Work Force?

This question was raised in an article from the “Get Real Philippines” blog and sounds rather blunt but, uncomfortably, true.

It seems like high-paying jobs do actually exist in the Philippines, but highly qualified English-speaking workers who could fill those positions either move abroad, where they get better offers, or aren’t enough to meet the demand.

And the article goes on to say, basically, that a country where it takes an army of people to build a house that 5 Japanese builders could build quicker and more effectively cannot stand a chance to grow…tutal “Bahala-na”…
